紫色って、攻めた色ですよね。妖艶だとか官能的だとか、なんとなくそういうセクシーな印象じゃないですか?我々紫イモもそんな印象に劣らぬよう、日夜研鑽を重ねています。ただ漫然と紫なわけじゃないですよ。日々の努力の賜物です。しかしアレですね、野菜や果物には紫色のライバルが多過ぎますね。まずブドウね。とにかくコイツをどうにかしないと紫代表を名乗れません。強敵です。あとナス。コイツも手強いですね。なんですかあの濃い紫。バカにしやがって。ブルーベリーもヤバいです。「目に良い」とか言っちゃって。なんなの。さらに最近では、キャベツとかタマネギまで「あ、自分、紫っス」みたいなツラして割り込んできやがります。そんな群雄割拠の紫農産物界隈で存在感を示すべく、紫イモは今日も頑張っています!最後のお願いにまいりました!紫イモ、紫イモに清き一票をお願いいたします!
Purple is a bold color, isn't it? It gives the impression of being seductive, sensual, or somehow sexy, don't you think?
We, Purple Sweet Potatoes, work day and night to ensure that we live up to that impression. We are not just randomly purple. It is the result of daily efforts.
But you know, there are too many purple rivals when it comes to vegetables and fruits.
First of all, grapes. If we don't do something about them, we can't call ourselves the representative of purple. They're a formidable opponent.
And eggplant too. They're also tough to beat. What is that deep purple color?
Don’t make me laugh. Blueberries are also terrible. They say they're good for eye health. What the hell is that?
And recently, even cabbage and onions have been intervening, saying stuff like “we are purple”.
We, Purple Sweet Potatoes, are doing our best to make our presence known in the highly competitive world of purple agricultural produce!

JBは自宅のベランダから、遠くの花火を見ていた。少し湿った初夏の匂い。JBは少年時代を思い出す。あの日、僕らは花火を見上げていた。あの娘の頬が花火の色に紅く照らされたとき、僕は新しい感情を知った。ラムネを飲む手が震えていた。友達とプールの帰りに飲んだラムネとは、どこか違う味がした。あの日の思い出との距離を知らしめるかのように、花火の音が遅れて聞こえてくる。ラムネの瓶のもどかしさ。JBは、次々と小さく打ちあがる花火をただ眺めていた。
JB was watching fireworks in the distance from the balcony of his house.
Feeling the slightly damp smell of early summer.
It reminded JB of his boyhood. That day too, they were looking up at the fireworks.
When the girl's cheeks lit up red with the color of the fireworks, he had discovered a new emotion. His hands were shaking as he drank the Ramune. It tasted somehow different from the Ramune he drank on the way home from the pool with his friends.
As if it was to remind him of the distance between his present self and the memories of that day, the sound of fireworks was delayed.
Frustrated as if he was drinking Ramune from the bottle, JB just watched the small fireworks that shot off one after another.

つくづく、人間という生き物は水が好きだ。何かというと海に行ってハシャいだり、川の流れを橋の上から眺めて思い出に耽ったり。挙句、水が好き過ぎるあまり、ほとんどの家庭にはハンドルをひねると水が流れ出る装置が備えつけられているらしい。どんだけ水好きなんだよ、人類(笑)その「家庭用流水装置」からもわかる通り、人間は「動く水」が大好きなのである。小川よりも大河、大河よりも海のように、より激しく動いている水に心惹かれる生き物なのだ。その証拠に、彼らは水たまりのことをとんでもなく軽んじている。毛嫌いしていると言ってもいい。同じ水なのに。以上のことから導き出される結論は一つ。滝こそが、「水」界のフラッグシップである。水のことを船由来の言葉で表すのはややこしいかも知れないが、これは厳然たる事実である。断崖から、高い位置エネルギーを伴って勢いよく落下する水。最も激しく動く水。あまり頻繁にはお目にかかれない荘厳な水。それが滝。水界の頂点に君臨するのは我々滝である。そう言いきってしまっても過言ではないこともないこともないだろう。
Human beings love water. They go to the ocean to splash around, or stop on a bridge to watch the river flow and reminisce about memories. And because they love water so much, it seems that most homes are equipped with a device that allows water to flow out when a handle is twisted.
Just how much do humans love water? As you can see from these "household running water devices," humans love "moving water." They are creatures that are attracted to water that moves more vigorously, like large rivers rather than small streams, and oceans rather than large rivers. Proof of this is the incredible disdain they have for puddles. You could even say they hate them. Even though they're the same water. From all of this, one conclusion can be drawn: waterfalls are the flagships of the "water" world.
It may sound confusing to describe water in terms of ship-derived terms, but this is a stark fact.
Water that falls from a precipice with great force, accompanied by high potential energy. Water that moves most violently. The most majestic water that is not seen very often.
That is the waterfall.
It is we, waterfalls, who reign at the top of the water world.
It is no exaggeration to say so.

毎年この季節、この街は丸ごとレース場に姿を変える。モンテカルロの街をFLAGは疾走する。オーディエンスの声援と街の景色が、風とともに瞬く間に後方に流れていく。彼はローズヘアピンから臨む海の青さを愛している。万全に整えたコンディションでコーナーを曲がるとき、FLAGはあの海に挨拶をする。アデュー、ラ・メール。また会えたね。さようなら、また来年。因みにこの人、別に車に乗ってるわけじゃないです。人力でダッシュしてます。テレビのマラソンで、中継のカメラに映るために並走する目立ちたがり屋がいるでしょう。要はアレです。毎年運営から怒られています。
Every year during this season, the entire city is transformed into a racetrack.
FLAG races through the streets of Monte Carlo. The cheers of the audience and the view of the city quickly drift behind him with the wind. He loves the blue of the ocean from the Rose Hairpin curve.
As he rounds the corner in perfect condition, FLAG says hello to that sea.
Adieu, la mer. We meet again. Goodbye, see you next year.
By the way, he is not in a car. He is dashing by himself.
You know those show-offs at TV marathons who run alongside the runner to be seen on the live camera?
That's what this is all about. Every year, FLAG get scolded by the organizers.
